Our Submissions Process

Manuscript Submission
You will submit a small portion of your finished manuscript to our team here at Indie Forge.

Review
We will review the submitted portion of your manuscript and if we are interested in moving forward we will reach out to request your full manuscript.

If we decide to not request more of your manuscript, we will contact you to let you know we are not interested at this time.

This process can take between
30-60 days to complete.

Publication
If you are chosen through submission, Indie Forge will work with you to get your manuscript ready for traditional publication and push it out into bookstores on your behalf.

What Do I Need to know prior to Submission?

Only unpublished works will be accepted at this time

We are currently accepting manuscripts in all genres

Please make sure you label your manuscript with the correct genre

Include a brief summary of your manuscript as the beginning of your file

Submit ONLY the first three chapters of your manuscript at this time

Please make sure your manuscripts are finished at the time of submission, as a full manuscript may be requested throughout the submissions process.

Works written with generative AI will not be considered. If your manuscript is found to have been written using generative AI, it will result in a ban from Indie Forges services. (This excludes grammar checkers and writing aids. This is for works written in entirety using AI)

We are only accepting manuscripts with 180,000 words or less at this time.

You do not need to be represented by a literary agent prior to submission, but literary agents are welcome to submit their author's work.
